Tan Sri Michael Yeoh
Chairman
TAN SRI MICHAEL YEOH is a public intellectual, social entrepreneur, author and international speaker.
He has over 35 years of senior corporate management, consulting and boardroom experience. Currently he is President, Kingsley Advisory and Strategic Initiatives and the KSI Strategic Institute for Asia Pacific – an Independent non-profit Think Tank. He was previously CEO of the Asian Strategy & Leadership Institute (ASLI). He is also Deputy Chairman of the Economic Club of Kuala Lumpur and General Committee member of the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Tan Sri Yeoh sits on the Board of Directors of MUI Properties (Property Development), Pan Malaysia Corporation (Investment and Food), and Kashtec Holdings (fintech and e-Commerce) and is a Trustee of the OSK Foundation and Yayasan Wesley. He was a Former Director of Star Media Group, the National Heart Institute and Sunway University.
Tan Sri Yeoh has served the Government as Malaysia’s Representative (Ambassador rank) to the ASEAN High Level Task Force on Connectivity, Commissioner in the Royal Commission of Police, Member of the Malaysia Competition Commission, member Advisory Board of the Malaysian Anti- Corruption Commission and Commissioner in the Human Rights Commission (SUHAKAM). He was a member of the National Unity Consultative Council. He was recently appointed to the Executive Council of the United Nations ESCAP Business Sustainable Network.
He has authored 5 books and have spoken at forums organized by the World Economic Forum, Confederation of Indian Industry, Centre for China and Globalization, the Asia Society, the China Development Institute, World Policy Conference and Oxford and Cambridge Universities.
He holds a degree in Economics from Monash University and Doctor of Laws (honoris causa) from the University of Nottingham. He has also attended senior management courses at Wharton School and Harvard Business School.

Mr Ding Hong Sing is the National President of the SME Association of Malaysia and President of SME Mobile Truck Association. He is Malaysian-born with cultural roots in the Fu Zhou region of China and is the founder and managing director of Syarikat Pau Ahmad,
P.A. Food Sdn Bhd, H.S Ding Properties Sdn Bhd, P.A. Food Industries Sdn. Bhd and Dings Holdings Sdn Bhd.
P.A. Food is one of Malaysia’s leading, family-owned frozen food suppliers and manufacturers specialising in Asian flatbread, steamed buns, Asian pastry snacks, sauces and cooking pastes. With over
40 years of experience in the food service industry, it was Mr Ding’s first inspiration to create Malaysia’s first Halal steamed bun, which began P.A. Food’s journey to bring the taste of authentic Malaysia to the world.
P.A. Food supplies to a variety of industries and markets around the world, delivering premium quality shelf-stabled frozen food to enterprising food industry professionals and quality-conscious consumers. Datuk Michael Kang
Board Member
DATUK MICHAEL KANG HUA KEONG is the Immediate Past President of SME Association of Malaysia, and the Executive Director of Asia Media Group Bhd. Director of SMB Connection Sdn Bhd focus agri and online business.
He has been in ICT industry involving in hardware manufacturing, distribution and retail including software business, e-commerce and international trade business since 1985.
A keen promoter of Malaysia’s SME Sector, Datuk Kang has worked tirelessly to develop the SME landscape and encourage business owners to transform their business to keep up with global markets. He was a member of the digital economic task force where he served to bridge the communication between SMEs and the authorities.
Amongst his current roles include the board member of SME Corporation Malaysia, Council Member of Council of Federal Datuks Malaysia, member of the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health under the Ministry of Human Resource (since 2013-2018), board member of HRDF (2014-2019) and member of the incubator program DRIVERS under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (since 2013), China Asean SME Development Council Co-Chair (since2017), ASEAN SME Chapter Co-Chair, BNM FX sub- committee (since2017), Advisory Panel for Dong Jiao Zong Higher Learning Centre (2018-2022), Vice-President of Machinery & Engineering Industries Federation (MEIF) and Malaysia-Foshan Chamber of Commerce.

Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Ir. Ahmad Tajuddin Ali

Tan Sri Dr. Ir. Ahmad Tajuddin Ali is currently the Chairman of Malakoff Corporation Berhad, ITMAX System Berhad, Linde Malaysia Holdings Berhad, SIRIM Berhad, and Plytec Holding Berhad.
He is also the Joint-Chairman (Industry) of the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT), a member of the Board of Director of Institut Integriti Malaysia and a member of the Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA), chaired by the Prime Minister of Malaysia
He was previously the Director General of Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM), later the Executive Chairman of Tenaga Nasional Berhad, the national power company of Malaysia. He was Chairman of UEM Group Berhad, Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) of Malaysia and Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka.
Tan Sri Dr Tajuddin is a Registered Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia, a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia, a Fellow of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations, a Senior Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia and a Fellow of the ASEAN Academy of Engineering and Technology.

Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Surfri Bin Hj. Mohd Zin
Board Member
Tan Sri Sufri Bin Hj Md Zin is the founder of the TRC Group of Companies and also the Managing Director of the Group’s subsidiary Companies.
He graduated from MARA Institute of Technology in 1982 with a Diploma in Business Studies. He began his career with Standard Chartered Bank before joining Bank Bumiputera Malaysia Berhad in 1982 as an International Banking Division Officer. But two years later, he had a vision and founded Trans Resources Corporation Sdn Bhd, a specialist construction company. Now, he has more than 35 years of working experience in civil and building industry. Then, he went on to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Jurisprudence at Universiti Malaya and he has since obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Law and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2014.
In August 2009, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Sufri was selected as a winner of the Outstanding
Entrepreneurship Award organised by Enterprise Asia. He achieved a great personal milestone when he was honoured as CEO of the Year by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) that same year.
CIDB also named him as Winner of Contractor of the Year at their Malaysian Construction Industry Excellence Awards 2011.
Tan Sri Sufri has been actively involved as a Council Member of the Master Builders
Association Malaysia (MBAM), ASEAN Constructors’ Federation (ACF), Board Member of the International Federation of Asian & Western Pacific Contractors’ Associations (IFAWPCA) and Corporate Advisor of Persatuan Kontraktor Infrastruktur & Pengurusan Fasiliti Bumiputera (PKIPFB).

Dato’ Sri Dr. Ricky Yaw

Dato’ Sri Dr. Ricky Yaw Chan Choy is the founder and executive group chairman of Eakon Group. The group’s business includes: ACMV-R and MEP engineering, Vocational Skill Academy, Real Estate Development, Durian Plantation & Trading and etc. Dato’ Sri Dr. Ricky Yaw Chan Choy has successfully led the group to thrive in the past 30 years, with business covering both domestic and overseas markets. Dato’ Sri Dr. Ricky Yaw Chan Choy is a professional who has done his part, made outstanding achievements, and is enthusiastic about serving and contributing to the national society.
Dato’ Sri Dr Ricky Yaw was appointed as the Committee Member and Developer of National Occupational Skill Standard (NOSS), Course of Study and Module for Air Conditioning, Mechanical Ventilation & refrigeration (ACMV&R) and Building Operation Maintenance (BOM) with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Department of Skill Development and Committee Member of MARA Curriculum Advisory Committee & Technical Advisor for Institute Latihan Perindustrian (ILP) & Kolej Komuniti. He is actively involved with American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
In 2006, he was appointed as Advisor of ASEAN-Australia Development Cooperation Program (AADCP) for Enhancing Skills Recognition Systems for Air Conditioning & Refrigeration industry in ASEAN countries.
He was appointed by Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB), Ministry Of Works and Department Of Skill Development, Ministry Of Human Resources as “Pakar Negara” & Panel Judges for Competition of National Skill Standard.
Dato Sri Dr Ricky Yaw currently holds the position in these associations as:

Datuk Dr. Hafsah Hashim
Board Member
Datuk (Dr.) Hafsah Hashim was the Chief Executive Officer of the SME Corporation Malaysia (SME Corp. Malaysia) for 13 years 11 months. She holds a Bachelor in Applied Science from the Science University of Malaysia and Masters in Business Administration from Aston University, United Kingdom. Recognising her expertise in SME development and entrepreneurship, she was awarded with Honorary Doctorate of Entrepreneurship by Universiti Tenaga Nasional in 2015.
Datuk (Dr.) Hafsah was also appointed as the ‘Professor of Practice’ of the Putra Business School, and Adjunct Professor at Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), National University of Malaysia (UKM) and Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP).
During her tenure serving the Government of Malaysia for 36 years and 2 months, Datuk (Dr.) Hafsah accumulated a wealth of experience in public sector administration and policy development. She served in several Ministries including Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Primary Industries.

Dato' Anne Eu
Board Member
Base in Kuala Lumpur, Dato’ Anne Eu is the Chairman of Eu Yan Sang Malaysia. She is responsible for growing the company’s corporate and retail business through developing local and international marketing strategies and business opportunities.
Under her stewardship, Eu Yan Sang Malaysia has recorded steady growth and increased recognition. She is instrumental in driving business growth and broadening market appeal with organic and halal- certified TCM products. In 2017 she was selected and voted by Amazon.com’s Top 100 Most Influential Women in Emerging Economies. As a team leader, she remains a glimpse of sunshine and is proof of the statement, “Every country needs the three pillars of the strength of a woman – fortitude, steadfastness, and tenacity.”
Dato’ Anne Eu is an active philanthropist, involved in many charity works. She founded Roti Malaysia in 2011, an organisation that delivers bread daily from 5-star hotels to many senior homes and orphanages around Malaysia. Dato’ Anne Eu serves as the president of this charity organisation. She also initiated the Flagbearer Education Association to support the children of missing and deceased crew members from MH 370 and MH 17 for their educational needs.
In addition to that, she is an active member of the Board of Trustees of the Tunku Azizah Fertility Foundation (TAFF). TAFF financially assists childless couples unable to afford the high costs of fertility treatments. She also sits on the Board of Cancer Research Malaysia (CRM), as she believes in the study of creating bespoke cancer treatments according to the individual genetic profiles of cancer patients.
Dato’ Anne Eu was appointed as a Director to the World Board of Olave Baden-Powell Society (OB-PS) UK in June 2019, after serving as the Ambassador from 2017 to 2019. She strongly believes in developing next-generation female leaders through supporting and collaborating with the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).
In 2021, she was awarded the Life Time Achievement Award for Women’s Excellence by KASI. She was the Advisor to the just concluded 2022 World Women Economic & Business Summit, where women leaders from all over the world came together to share their experiences and expertise on the platform.
She was recognised as one of Asia’s HEROES OF PHILANTHROPY by US Forbes magazine in 2016. Dato’ Anne Eu has earned praise for her business acumen and charitable activities, having set up various charity foundations and spearheading several campaigns to help the less fortunate and underprivileged.
Her memorable quote reported in Forbes states, “PHILANTHROPY IS A MINDSET. IT IS NOT JUST ABOUT DONATING MONEY. IT IS ALSO ABOUT SHARING ABILITY AND KNOWLEDGE, RAISING AWARENESS, AND POOLING RESOURCES TO BETTER A PARTICULAR CONDITION FOR HUMANITY.”

Dato’ Alex Wong

Dato’ Alex Wong Che Sing is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA), having qualified in 1988 and also a Chartered member of the Malaysia Institute of Accountants.
His current role is as the CFO of Hap Seng Star, the leading Mercedez-Benz dealer in Malaysia, with previous roles in senior management and financial positions in England.
Over the years, Dato Alex has undertaken active roles in Business Associations and Voluntary Organisations, currently being active in the following associations:

Datin Winnie Loo

Datin Winnie Loo is no stranger to the fashion and lifestyle industry with her magical hands that turns heads over the years. For more than 4 decades, her name has been synonymous within the local hair & beauty industry since opening A Cut Above in 1979. Widely acclaimed for her talent, she has an enviable clientele that reads like a veritable Who’s who in Malaysia and regional countries. It comprises the rich and famous, the distinguished and titled.
Not ready to retire from her passion as this year marks her 44 years in the industry since coming home from London, she is instead pushing boundaries to even achieving more by being appointed as the President of Branding Associations of Malaysia. She is also the Co-founder of Asia Hairdressing Association and Asia Hair Festival, and the success of the festival have seen them celebrated their 19th Anniversary in Shanghai in a big way in June 2023.
Her accomplishments as an author, educator, celebrity coach and speaker has seen her going places and scales new heights apart from her handling her pair of scissors and transforming her clients.

Mr. Chow Khoon Liam

Liam Chow, Senior Director, Industrial Centre of Innovation, SIRIM Industrial Research.
He has a proven track record in strategic management, marketing, and international business development experience. He is a self-motivated entrepreneur with 25 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical, Tertiary Education, Healthcare, Biotech, and Timber sectors in multinationals, conglomerates, and government agencies.
Joining SIRIM Industrial Research in November 2022, he is responsible for the execution of Industrial Centre of Innovation strategic initiatives, enhancing business performance, and contributing to the short and long-term business planning in alignment with SIRIM’s vision and mission.
Liam Chow also plays an important role in planning and managing SIRIM focusing on technology commercialization and related activities as a commercial entity for SIRIM.

Mr. Thirunaukarasu Muthayam

Mr Thirunaukarasu Muthayam is the Vice President for Malaysian Associated Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (MAICCI) which is the largest apex Chamber of Commerce for the Malaysian Indian business community which represent the interests of all businesses, sizes, sectors, and regions, state and local chambers as well as trade and industry associations. He is also the President of Negeri Sembilan Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (NSICCI).
Mr. Thirunaukarasu is graduated from University of Greenwich (UK) in Master of Science in Facility Management. He has remarkable experience and good knowledge of agricultural regulatory processes. In-depth knowledge of agricultural, environmental economics and policy. He has vast experience working with a variety of clients across different industries, and kept himself deep understanding of business best practices and stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies.
He is currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Agros Empire Sdn Bhd, he oversees all aspects of the company’s marketing efforts, business development and revenue growth. He also holds the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) in Lotus Agro SDN BHD. He works closely with the management team to ensure that business efforts align with their goals and objectives.
With more than 20 years of industrial experience, he specializes in developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to drive revenue growth and brand awareness for businesses of all sizes.
His excitement and dedication to render his skills and experiences to the team and organization is highly applaudable. And he believes in taking care personal welfare of the people which creates positive impact to the team and the organization. This award is bestowed on non-listed SMEs which are headed or founded by women entrepreneurs.

Nominees must be at least 50% owned by women entrepreneurs or with the women entrepreneurs as primary decision makers.

This award is to highlight Malaysia’s best and brightest young entrepreneurs and to recognize their innovative spirit and business acumen. They take risks with their personal financial security and have exceptional drive and commitment. Often, they start with little more than an idea and grim determination to succeed.

The nominee must be a Malaysian age 40 and below. He or she must be a CEO or Managing Director and has been involved in the company’s daily management for a minimum of 3 years and owns majority controlling interest of the company.
